I wish I could say my Toronto Raptors were gonna win the Finals, but that would make me delusional. I think the Lakers are the favourite again for me. I'd say Cleveland but I think Shaq could potentially slow King James down. I do like Carter to Orlando though. He will make them more dynamic.
Raptors are not going to the finals. But they have a better, way more competitive team than last year. Hopefully, the team will get a lot better. Good enough for Chris Bosh to sign a contract extention with the team.
Shift is kind of moving in the opposite direction of what I'm looking for in a driving game.. the more realistic it gets, the less interested I am. I'm not into the Gran Turismo style of racing... I go where the arcade-y fun is, which is what I loved about NFS in the first place... pick up and play arcadey controls. I was actually more interested in the new NFS on the Wii (Nitro? can't remember the name) As I get older and busier I have less and less time to devote to car customization, tweaking engine ratios and gathering upgrades for hours... I just want something that's quick and fun. Not that Shift coouldn't be those things, and the graphics look great, I'm just not going for a sim.. though I know a lot of people are. Keep in mind I haven't done a lot of research into either new game.. just going mostly on some screenshots and descriptors on websites. I may look into it more later.
That's cool if you like a fun simple driving game. If you're more into that, you should keep your eye out on NFS Nitro that is coming out later this year. It's more as you put it arcade-y and fun. It is definitely a game where you can pick up and play. The game is out on the Wii console. Definitely check that out, it's definitely something that's quick and fun. The screen shots and pics are out already so check it out. Let me know what you think of NFS Nitro.
I kind of drifted away (no pun intended) from the NFS franchise after Hot Pursuit 2. I'd rather play something like Burnout or Saint's Row that still has racing and cars (albeit not real brands) but comes with a full package of other kinds of mayhem.
That's cool. If you have stepped away from the NFS series it would be pleasantly surprise with the new upcoming Shift game. We have really focus on "the driver's experience" so everything a race car driver feels we try to emulate that in this game. Have you seen the pics and clips from the game so far? Let me know what you think.

The games we're pulling together in this feature won't appear on any of those best-of lists and get confused looks when you mention them in conversation. Just because time has forgotten these titles, though, doesn't mean you should forget them, too. » Read On
