    TZ -

I hear what you're saying about the brand, and would feel similarly if it were some outsider looking to abuse the EGM legacy - but it's the original Steve Harris here. His and Ed Semrad's days were among the finest in EGM's history in my personal opinion.

So I stand by the EGM resurrection as one of the hopeful. It just appeared that Hsu was being a little condescending toward those of us out there who maintain faith in the publication. Nothing more, nothing less.

No offense taken - I appreciate the comment, I only hope I didn't come off too much like an arrogant ass

I got the sense of a bit of resentment from Hsu in regards to the new EGM --

Seeing a print publication succeed reflects well on the industry at large; no need to belittle people's faith in the brand. And thanks to the EGM name, the magazine has a head start in the game - critical for any magazine looking to gain traction in the hard knocks of this print climate.

As for content, if Hsu's opinion of a quality pub is anything like his editorial content for Bitmob, I'm glad he hasn't been tapped to write for the new EGM. What this crop of web writers doesn't seem to get, and what the old pubs used to (as enthusiast as they were) is that blog-style opinionated journalism does not make for quality content. Hsu and Bitmob dipped their hand too much during the E3 press conferences for me to be able to take them seriously as an objective, unbiased source.

The Games That Time Forgot

The games we're pulling together in this feature won't appear on any of those best-of lists and get confused looks when you mention them in conversation. Just because time has forgotten these titles, though, doesn't mean you should forget them, too.
