I'd say the biggest improvements are in the engine itself. Everything is lit in a much more natural light giving the characters and environments a more realistic look. It's just amazing to see bullet tracers and hear the screams / gun pops all around you. The engine is able to also handle more on screen baddies which makes fights more engaging and texture loads, while still present, are more natural than before. If you loved GoW at all, this game is a no brainer.
