  • 10 No-Bullshit Rules Non-Gaming Parents Should Follow When Buying Videogames for Their Kids: 2009 Ed

    November 20, 2009 12:56:17 PM

    @nullspace.
    It seems like what you are saying is that the alternative is "your job" which does not seem that bad. I mean yeah, costumers are usually dumb and have little to no idea what they are looking for but that is why we have people who work in retail. The idea is that you can ask these people and they will give you a honest and hopefully helpful answer. The idea is not to shrug your shoulders and wait for them to leave the store.

    If you tell them it is a bad game and give them another recommendation and they still buy it, then at least you are not at fault for there dumv decision .

    Also, try not to go into great detail about the gaming industry. Most people do not care but are very happy with a simple and straight-forward explanation.

  • BioShock 2: Hands All Over It

    November 5, 2009 3:16:22 PM

    Bioshock id definitely one of my favorite games of all time. also every element of the game where things I always want (and expect) from a game: A good story, smart AI and options. I loved the plasmids and I though hacking was a great idea. It was easy to learn and fast paced enough to keep me entertained and also had some of the smartest and most fun AI I have ever played against.

    Some of the new features seem neat, though I will agree the new hacking system seems stupid. But for the most part as long as it has the same feel and gameplay then it will be worth my money. High hopes.

    This sounds like a pretty awesome game. Too bad it is one of the many games that suck when played on the PS3 cause of the speed and performance.

    I did a school project about how the Egyptians worships cats, I actually got pretty into it and started to agree with alot of there ideas. Then I remembered that when my cat is being fussy about her food all I have to do it shake the bowl and put it back down and she thinks it is a fresh bowl of food and starts eating. Kind of ruins the whole Cat's are god-like thing.

  • Games for Lunch: Tekken 6

    Funny. I loved Tekken. I hated Soul Calibur and Street Fighter. Honestly! Tekken was fast paced and quick to learn. I always found street fighter annoying and Soul Calibur to be clunky. But I am also not a huge fighting game person (though I do owner MK vs DC which is also a great game) From the review I am super excited for this game. Thanks Kyle! I love Games for Lunch, great article.

    "Never could fall into Fate that far." that almost sounds deep.

    I was not a huge fan of the Diablo games. They were fun enough but I never got into the dungeon crawl games that much. Played this for a few hours and it was fun enough. Colorful anyways.

The Games That Time Forgot

The games we're pulling together in this feature won't appear on any of those best-of lists and get confused looks when you mention them in conversation. Just because time has forgotten these titles, though, doesn't mean you should forget them, too.
