Tom...How does the single-player AI handle? Does it have actual brains, or is more of just 'rush, rush, rush' like it has been since C&C: Generals?

This review kinda had me going :S It seems like your biggest gripe with it is that it's too linear and derivative, yet you say Fry It? That's a bit much.

I also have beef with the Drebin system. It sucks the fun right out of getting new weapons. I remember playing MGS 3 especially, everytime I would come across a new weapon, whether it be the AK or the RPG-7, my reaction would always be "YES! A NEW GUN!!!" But with the inclusion of Drebin, there's no real challenge anymore because receiving a more powerful gun is that much easier. There seems to be an increased emphasis (perhaps unintentional) on run-and-gun, as opposed to sneaking.

I'm caught b/w both what yourself and Tom have to say about MGS4. One the one hand, I agree the story line and the issues it tackles, along with the cinematic events themselves are pretty epic, but what I don't like are the overly-long cut-scenes and, like MGS 2, lack of gameplay. Really, if you take away the cut scenes, you aren't left with much. And good as the character models may be, the graphics aren't all that exciting. Everything in this game is so monotone, it's boring.
