  • About Me: I was born 1984, but it wasn't until about ten years later, when one of my friend's dad bought an Amiga 500 I really got into gaming. Naturally, I had to get my own (daddy please please please!), so the following years were spent on this along with a NES one of my other frieds had. In my early teenage years, I had adopted the PC as my gaming platform, and FPS games were all the rage. When one of my ICQ contacts sent me a pre-release beta of a Half-Life mod called Counter-Strike, I was sold. Skip ahead 3 or 4 years, and I started getting into singleplayer, story driven games (mainly RPG's). Now, I play nearly everything, on whatever platform catches my fancy (But my favorites are immersive, story driven games). I've got a PC, PS2, PS3 and a Nintendo DS, all of which I love like my children (if I had any :P). I try to play to get an experience out of it, instead of just wasting time.

    Great article!!

I think the game would have been an instant classic it was released 5-10 years ago (with graphics matching that era). But for some reason, it just doesn't feel like one. I have the game lying around, I started it up one time where I knew I didn't have time to get immersed and haven't gotten around to it yet. I still think I will though.
On a side note, I have three friends who bought the game, and all of them were ambivalent about it. They all appreciated the athmospere, but the story and persons didn't work for them. They all completed it though.

I actually had a lot of fun with Oblivion, I just wish it had more depth. Some of the missions were really really interesting. But bring back the Morrowind island, that was amazing.

The Games That Time Forgot

The games we're pulling together in this feature won't appear on any of those best-of lists and get confused looks when you mention them in conversation. Just because time has forgotten these titles, though, doesn't mean you should forget them, too.
