First Shot: Sin and Punishment: Star Successor

The video after the break is a video first shot review for Sin and Punishment: Star Successor. Check it out if you want to see some gameplay and hear my sexy voice... Well, maybe just for the gameplay then.

I'm still chugging through this game, constantly dying as I try to figure out boss patterns. Honestly, I miss games like this where I really need to focus and try not only to learn, but to master the game's mechanics. This game strikes a perfect balance (at least so far, just finished stage 3) of being frustrating and still being fun. Every mistake I make I know is result of my poor play and not from the game's design.

Right now I would say this game is a buy but, I have to wait until I actually finish the game to give a firm verdict on that. I have a feeling this game will be short, so hopefully there is enough in the game to warrant a high replay value. A full review is coming soon after I beat it and mess around will all the features.

The original Sin and Punishment was initially only released in Japan for the Nintendo 64. A English-dubbed port of the game has been available on the Wii Virtual Console since October 2007 for 1200 Wii points. I highly suggest picking it up if you're interested in this game but don't feel like shelling out $50 just yet.

Alright, I'm gonna get my ass handed to me now in Sin and Punishment. Wish me luck!
