Xbox Primetime Won’t Be Ready for NXE Launch
It’s been a rough spot for Microsoft’s upcoming dashboard upgrade. First came the word that the part of its Netflix integration which would allow users to stream movies between consoles was going MIA. Now Microsoft is saying that the Xbox LIVE Primetime feature, which is comprised of regularly scheduled game shows Xbox LIVE members can compete in to win physical prizes, will be yet another feature of the “New Xbox Experience” that won’t make the cut when the new dashboard goes live on November 19th. Instead, the Xbox LIVE Primetime channel has be rescheduled for a Spring 2009 launch. The delay, according to Microsoft product managers, is necessary to iron out problems with the user interface.

Xbox Live Downtime Next Week
Get ready for a freak out. On Sept. 29 Microsoft will take Xbox Live offline for an entire day to implement the changes needed for the new Xbox experience. That experience will include a whole new interface, avatars and new ways to play games and watch movies with friends.
From 12:01 AM PST until 11:59 PM PST on Sept. 29 Xbox Live will be offline and inaccessible to Xbox Live users. Will everyone bug out? Some will for sure (no one likes to have their Halo 3, Call of Duty 4 and Gears of War multiplayer time interrupted.
