Cruise Ship Vacation Games in Sept.
GameMill Entertainment today announced Cruise Ship Vacation Games will be released in September for Wii. In the game players get on a cruise ship (you know, like the Love Boat) and enjoy a variety of activities (mini-games and sports) including mini golf, driving range, shuffleboard, ping pong, rock climbing, and casino games. All of the games in this package support the Wii MotionPlus. In addition the game offers trap shooting, which supports the use of the Wii Zapper accessory.
Other features include multiple locations, upgradable equipment, up to four players at once supported in some games, and lots of gambling games including Craps, Blackjack, and Roulette.

Wii Sports Resort 1 million units sold, says Nintendo data
According to Nintendo’s internal tracking figures, sales of its Wii Sports Resort game have surpassed 1 million copies in the United States since its July 26 launch. Japan and Europe have also sold more than 1 million copies each since the title launched in their respective markets. The collection of 12 resort-themed sports activities is on its way to becoming another long-tail title that sells steadily over an extended period of time as opposed to a single flash on its launch day - or so Nintendo hopes.
Nintendo’s internal sales figures also show that more than 2 million Wii MotionPlus accessories are now in the hands of consumers in the United States. That includes those bundled with Wii Sports Resort and Electronic Arts’ Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, as well as those sold separately at a suggested retail price of $19.99 each.

Nintendo E3 press conference wrap-up

Cammie Dunaway opened the event, greeting everyone in attendance at the Nokia theatre, Nokia Lounge and everyone watching at home. She talked about big surprises and little surprises and how today’s press event would deliver both. While there were some interesting announcements, I felt like Nintendo, despite leading in many of the categories it is competing in, really didn’t have any momentum by the end of its E3 press event.

EA Sports Wii Motion Plus Games June 10
EA SPORTS will be releasing both Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10 and EA SPORTS Grand Slam Tennis a bit early. Both will ship to stores June 8 in North America, one week earlier than originally announced. EA SPORTS recently announced that the Wii version of Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10 will be available packaged with the Wii MotionPlus accessory in both North America and Europe. In Europe only, EA SPORTS Grand Slam Tennis will be available with Wii MotionPlus at launch.
The new date reflects EA’s desire to make the game available with the Wii MotionPlus’ launch window. Both Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10 and EA SPORTS Grand Slam Tennis have been rated “E” by the ESRB. Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10 has an MSRP of $59.99 when bundled with the Wii MotionPlus. Both products will be available for $49.99 without the accessory. If you were planning on buying the Wii MotionPlus anyway, why not get a game to go along with it, right?
