Nintendo adds downloads
Just in time for the launch of the DSi this weekend, Nintendo announced that its shopping channels have added six DSiWare games, one WiiWare game and one Virtual console game to its collection. These games should be available at noon EST today and can be redeemed with the traditional DSi and Wii points.
The DSi games:
Nintendo DSi Browser (0 points): A web browser powered by Opera, with email options. (Get it, its free!)
Bird & Beans (200 points): Use your bird’s long tongue to catch beans and get points. Missing a bean means trouble.
Master of Illusion Express: Funny Face (200 points): Learn illusions and magic tricks.
Art Style: AQUIA (500 points): Be a scuba diver underwater and try to reach the ocean floor by solving puzzles.
WarioWare: Snapped (500 points): Wario’s mini-games for the DSi. 1- or 2-player action and utilizes the DSi camera to make players part of the show.
Brain Age Express: Math (800 points): Focus on math-related activities using drawing, photography and voice.
The WiiWare download is EQUILIBRIO for 500 points. It is for 1-4 players
and you must move a ball toward an exit using the remote to tilt the playfield. The Balance Board can also be used. There are 64 levels.
The Virual Console the Super NES game Uncharted Waters: New Horizons for 800 points. The game is set in the Age of Discovery in Europe’s golden age of expansion. Choose one of six characters to explore the world and make discoveries.
The WarioWare and Virtual console games seem interesting to me and I’ll probably give them a try, and using the balance board for the WiiWare game could make for some hilarious moments. Watch for our Virtual Player column to get our take on how the games play.
