UT3 Titan Pack Coming to PC, PS3
Midway and Epic Games announced this morning that the Titan Pack for Unreal Tournament 3 will be released on March 5 for the PlayStation 3 and PC. The completely free content pack includes 11 new multiplayer maps for maps for Deathmatch, CTF, Vehicle CTF and Warfare modes and eight maps from the first UT3 bonus pack and Xbox 360 version. The pack also offers the Greed mode - a “tug of war” style kill points battle, and Betrayal mode - a cutthroat style of play where alliances and teams can shift fluidly through a match.
New units in the pack include the new X-Ray deployable field - used to lay waste to foes, and the Link Station - a temporary repair unit that can be deployed to keep vehicles in top fighting condition. A new vehicle, the Stealthbender, comes equipped with a Link Station, an X-Ray Field, spidermine traps, and an EMP mine, but what makes it particularly lethal is its Necris stealth technology which renders it invisible for surprise attacks.

EA Signs Pact with Epic Games
Electronic Arts and Epic Games announced that they have signed a publishing agreement for an all-new action title for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. The title in question will be an all new, original intellectual property to be developed by the fine folks at Epic’s People Can Fly studio in Poland.
People Can Fly are best known for creating the popular first-person shooter Painkiller on the Xbox and PC. That game, in my opinion was hot, so I have high hopes that People Can Fly will create something just as compelling and fun.

Wheelman Leads Midway’s E3 Line-Up

This morning Midway Games revealed its line-up of games to be shown next week at the E3 Business & Media Summit, July 15-17 in Los Angeles. The company will showcasing franchises that it has already shown off to the press extensively like its fighting game Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, the TNA wrestling game TNA Impact!, This is Vegas, the recently released Unreal Tournament 3 for the Xbox 360, and the company’s classic gaming portal, MidwayArcade.com.
Some new games will be there as well, like the recently announced Blitz The League II, Game Party 2 for the Wii and Mechanic Master for DS; though nothing we haven’t already heard about except for Wheelman.
Wheelman is an action driving game for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC starring Vin Diesel as an undercover agent who infiltrates the Barcelona underworld to gather intelligence surrounding a covert heist. The game will be heavily story driven and will focus more on the driving than the action. Midway promises an “adrenaline-fueled, cinematic thrill ride.”
I’m not sure if Midway is holding back any surprises for E3, but at least some of its line-up is probably worth a booth stop. I’ll be scoping out Midway and every other company at E3 next week so stay tuned.

Unreal Tournament 3 Xbox 360 Released
For those that wanted to try Unreal Tournament 3 on a console but hate mods, Epic has the Xbox 360 version of the game for you today. Don’t blame them for the lack of mod support though, Microsoft apparently doesn’t like the idea of content from users on their very closed online system.
Still, the Xbox 360 version does offer all the other fun of UT3 along with split screen, five exclusive maps and two all-new characters, as well as all previously released downloadable content. Rated “M” for Mature by the ESRB, Unreal Tournament 3 is available for a suggested retail price of $59.95 in the U.S. Unreal Tournament 3 has already shipped more than 1 million units for Windows PC and PLAYSTATION 3 - oh, and both those games do support mods. Just saying .
