Far Cry 2 Gold, in Stores Oct. 21
Ubisoft’s in-house developed Far Cry sequel has gone gold and will be in stores October 21. Out of the hands of Crytek and pressed ever so gently to the bosom of Ubisoft Montreal, the sequel promises to discard the science fiction injected into the follow-up games and bring the series back to its roots with a wide open world, intuitive AI, and slick graphics. Hopefully the sequel will be more than just a glorified benchmarking tool.
The million dollar questions is “Will Far Cry 2 simply be filler as shooter fans wait for games like Gears of War 2 and Call of Duty World at War?” or will it carve out its own niche? That all depends on how great this game is. You can trust Crispy Gamer to give you an honest evaluation of this game when it ships next week.
