we Warrior Epic: Battlegrounds goes live genresTrue Games has launched an open beta test for Warrior Epic: Battlegrounds, the online focused action RPG’s first expansion. The expansion includes brand new PVP gameplay, an all-new HUB City, a New Region (Trogken Swamps), dozens of new items and much more. This new expansion marks the first project for True Games Interactive’s new development studio in Beijing, China.

The second new studio that True Games has opened this year, the Beijing studio has been working on the latest Warrior Epic content, while the Austin, Texas studio is developing a new intellectual property. The new Beijing studio will continue to work on future updates of Warrior Epic.

Some of the key features players can expect in Warrior Epic: Battlegrounds include all new player vs. player gameplay (via all-new objective-based PVP enabled maps), a central HUB for players to meet and form groups and guilds, a new region called Trogken Swamps to explore, new quest, new monsters, new items and more.

True Games hunts for online video game content

True Games announced today that it has formed an External Development Division at its Irvine Headquarters where it is currently seeking to acquire new video game content to operate on its TrueTech online game platform. The company has put a call out to all developers and publishers who have new, original and/or licensed online video game content that can be operated within the micro-transaction model it specializes in.

The company is looking for all types of online video game content including role-playing, strategy, racing, first-person shooter, sports, action, action/adventure, simulation, fighting and more. Any
product the company will consider will need to be developed for, or have the ability to easily be adapted to, the company’s micro-transaction business model which provides games that are free to
download and play (while offering players the ability to purchase additional items via micro-transactions).

Warrior Epic game cards now in stores

True Games Interactive has begun shipping game cards for Warrior Epic to retailers nationwide today. Through a partnership with GMG Entertainment the new cards are available in a $25 denomination which is 20,000 in-game gold.
Each card comes with a bonus of 20 Double XP Potions.

True Games launched its first online game, Warrior Epic, in spring of 2009 and is preparing to launch Mytheon, an action, strategy online game with a heavy emphasis on RPG-gameplay, collectability and combat, in early 2010. Mytheon is being developed by Petroglyph.

Mytheon Warcaster screenshots

Petroglyph and True Games have released new screenshot from Mytheon, a high fantasy strategy MMO being developed by Petroglyph. The screens highlight the game’s Warcaster character, showing him raiding a centaur camp and going to battle with several different beasts including War Forge Automaton’s, Centaur Chargers, the legendary Cyclops, Steropes and more.

Gamania to operate Warrior Epic in China

True Games Interactive has signed a deal with Gamania Digital Entertainment to publish, distribute and operate True Games and Possibility Space’s MMORPG, Warrior Epic,in China. Warrior Epic is an online action role-playing game that uses a free to play model complete with a micro-transaction system for providing premium.

Headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan, Gamania has been operating massively multi-player and casual games in Asian territories since 1995. Gamania operates more than 30 games across the Asian territories including hits such as Lineage Online, MapleStory, Mabinogi, Kart Rider and more.

The new expansion is scheduled to launch in July and will include all-new PVP gameplay that will be available to players who are level ten or higher. In addition, the expansion will also offer an all-new mid to high level region called “Trogken Swamps”, which will feature new missions, monsters, and unique gear.

Further details on True Games’ first major content update to its free-to-play MMORPG are to be announced. We’ll keep you posted.

Warrior Epic ready for the world

we Warrior Epic ready for the world actionOne thing beta testers didn’t have access to was the item shop, which is now officially open for business. It features premium packages as well as a vast selection of unique items for sale including vanity pieces, potions and more. It doesn’t feature items that will give you too much of an advantage over other players but it does offer a variety of consumables and dress up material to customize your characters.

Other major launch updates include a brand new introductory sequence which introduces new players to the story and lore behind Warrior Epic, as well as a Random Map Generator that allows players playing the same quest to participate within a totally new dungeon. In addition, an all-new guild system gives players the chance to create their own guild, invite members, create a guild motto and host guild contests and tournaments.
