Texas Cheat ‘Em now on Steam
D3Publisher’s Texas Cheat ‘Em is now available for PC via Steam, giving players a different take on the popular poker game. Texas Cheat ‘Em is a variation on the classic Texas Hold ‘Em rules, by layering party games and other gambling minigames on top of the basic rules, and allowing players to cheat to win. Developed by Wideload Shorts (a subdivision of Alex Seropian’s Wideload Games), Texas Cheat ‘Em offers single-player as well as multiplayer options for up to eight players as well.
Texas Cheat ‘Em supports online multiplayer, matchmaking, high score tables, voice chat and more, and is available for $9.99 (9.99 EUR, 8.99 GBP). For more information, check out www.steamgames.com.
Texas Cheat ‘Em coming to Steam
D3Publisher will bring Texas Cheat ‘Em to Steam on August 10. Texas Cheat ‘Em will support online multiplayer, matchmaking, high score tables, voice chat and more. The game will cost $9.99 (9.99 EUR, 8.99 GBP).
Texas Cheat ‘Em fis a new take on the classic Texas Hold ‘Em rules by layering party games and other gambling minigames on top of the basic rules, and allowing players to cheat to win. Cheating attacks are earned by players through more than a dozen minigames, so time usually spent waiting for others to deal or bet in online poker is replaced with small activities that earn players some bonuses and power-ups. The game offers single-player as well as multiplayer options for up to eight players.

This Week on Xbox Live Arcade
Two new games will hit Xbox Live Arcade this week, while the previously released Brain Challenge gets a price cut. Brain Challenge, which normally costs 800 MS Points, is available this week for 400 MS Points. You can learn more about the deal by visiting Xbox.com’s Marketplace.
This week’s releases include Star Trek: D-A-C and the cleverly named Texas Cheat ‘Em.
Star Trek: D-A-C is a fast-paced, top-down space shooter allegedly inspired by the new motion picture. I say allegedly in case one or the other sucks, thus giving distance to both. Players choose starships (from a list that includes the all-new U.S.S. Enterprise) and battle it out online. You can play as a member of the Romulan Empire or the Federation and up to 11 players (or AI) can battle in game play modes like Solo Play, Online Versus, and Online Co-op.
Texas Cheat ‘Em is a new take on Texas Hold ‘Em where the rules are just guidelines and cheating is considered creativity. In the game you play casino-themed mini-games to activate one of 15 cheating abilities—then use them when you want. Turn a bad hand into a sure thing. Send your opponent’s Royal Flush right down the drain. Steal chips, fold for free, or know the community cards in advance. Cheat strangers out of their fortunes over Xbox LIVE … before they do it to you. Cheater’s never win, kids.
