Shippin’ Out: Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008

pop_s_041-640x Shippin Out: Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008 actionTuesday is shipping out day for video games, and today’s offerings are very slim indeed. Today sees the release of Grand Theft Auto IV for the Games For Windows, which offers mouse / keyboard support, the possibility of mods, multiplayer and lots of graphical enhancements - just in case you didn’t get enough of the game earlier this year on the Xbox 360 and PS3.

Also being released today is the latest Prince of Persia game from Ubisoft promising a flashier adventure starring the agile prince as he finds himself in a battle between the forces of darkness and light - that game is shipping for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The PC version is on its way Dec. 9.

So what other delights can we expect to see on stores shelves today? Well there’s Tecmo’s action-adventure game SPRay, D3 Publisher’s Family Party: 30 Great Games for the Wii and the DS version of Microids’ classic adventure hit, Syberia.

Microids Joins GamersGate

GamersGate has inked a deal with Microïds to publish its current catalog and upcoming games, on its digital download platform. The first titles include Sniper Elite – Berlin 1945, Haegemonia - The Solon Heritage and Chicago 1930, with plans to release the full backlist portfolio including classics such as the Syberia and Dracula series. The first three games are already available for download at gamersgate.com.
