Suda51 Teams With EA

Electronic Arts is teaming up with legendary producer Shinji Mikami and innovative designer Suda51 for an all new action horror title for PC, Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii. Under the terms of the deal, EA Partners will publish Grasshopper Manufacture’s game in North America. The deal was brokered by CAA, in conjunction with Q Entertainment who will be working with Grasshopper Manufacture and EAP on the project. Details on the title are to be revealed soon.

Suda51 is known for creating unique game experiences like Killer 7 and No More Heroes. No doubt his latest game will depart from the conventional.

Suda51 Classic Coming to Europe

Rising Star Games announced this morning that it plans to bring No More Heroes developer Suda51’s (AKA Goichi Suda) Flower, Sun and Rain for DS. Flower, Sun and Rain is an a mystery adventure where you play as a detective charged with locating and defusing a bomb by solving puzzles with bizarre outcomes. Solving the mystery of what is happening to him and his surroundings is necessary before he eventually goes insane, which seems to be a trademark of Suda51’s games.

Originally released on the Sony PlayStation 2, Flower, Sun and Rain was never available outside of Japan. This updated Nintendo DS version features all the oddness of the original with tweaks to the touch screen and stylus driven functions on the DS.

The game will hit Europe in mid-October. A North American release date was not announced at press time.
