Age of Booty, Capcom’s quirky, downloadable Age of Sail themed action strategy game, is sailing into brand new horizons today; now you can play it on the PS3. The company announced that the game, already available for PC and on Xbox Live Arcade, is available on the PlayStation Store. Are you excited? Yes? No? Maybe?

In Age of Booty, players team up with friends online or AI-controlled pirate ships to raid, pillage, sink, and destroy other sailing vessels in a bid to dominate the high seas. Players can upgrade their ships, take on 21 challenges, and a total of 25 maps at launch.

Age of Booty is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB and is available for $9.99 PLAYSTATION Network.

Stardock announced this week Elemental: War of Magic, a role-playing strategy scheduled for the first quarter of 2010. The game will apparently retail for $49.95 with a public beta starting next Spring. Elemental: War of Magic will include no on-disk DRM and will be available for re-download and updates through the Impulse digital distribution platform regardless of wherever it is purchased.

So what is this new game? Elemental: War of Magic is a strategy RPG set in a world filled with magic and ancient lore. As the ruler of your kingdom, you must expand your empire through a combination of magical power, military might, diplomatic skill, technological advancement and bold adventuring. Your worlds will be of your choosing, or players are free to create their own.

Using Stardock’s ImpulseReactor, the game will also feature multiplayer modes include traditional skirmish modes as well as a persistent universe mode. Additionally, integrated modding support allows players to submit maps, items, creatures, races, technologies, spells, buildings, environments and much more from right within the game.

Electronic Arts has shipped Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 to retailers worldwide and will be in stores October 30th in North America and Europe for the PC. Developed at EA Los Angeles, the game will also ship for the Xbox 360 on November 11th. Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 promises to blend the humor the series is known for with new real-time strategy innovations.

The game features three co-operative, story driven-campaigns, an emphasis on naval gameplay, and live-action movie sequences starring Gemma Atkinson, Gina Carano, Randy Couture, Tim Curry, Kelly Hu, Jenny McCarthy, Jonathan Pryce, Autumn Reeser, J.K. Simmons, Peter Stormare, and George Takei.

Yesterday KOEI announced the release of Warriors Orochi 2 for the PS2 and Xbox 360 - and shortly thereafter announced that an update to the game was on the way. The company found out after the game had shipped that - under certain conditions - unusual slow-down may occur during battle scenes in the Xbox 360 version of the game. A release date for the patch will revealed shortly, according to KOEI. Full statement after the jump.

King’s Bounty: The Legend has shipped to retailers in North America and is now available for the suggested price of $39.95. Developed by Katauri Interactive, published by 1C and distributed by Atari, King’s Bounty: The Legend is a tactical turn-based RPG set in a fairytale fantasy world, populated with knights, evil mages, wise kings and beautiful princesses. The player controls one character, leading him through the gameworld, exploring it, commanding armies in battle and accomplishing various quests.

The game progression falls into two separate parts – Adventure and Combat. In adventure mode, the player controls the character in real-time, taking him through the adventure map seeking treasure, and completing challenges. In combat mode, the player takes on the role as warchief, leading their troops through battle in a chess-like format.

The return of Colonization has come to pass. 2K Games has released Sid Meier’s Civilization IV: Colonization, the latest game in the Civilization IV series and the first modern version in the popular Colonization series.

The game will be available in retail stores internationally beginning September 26. Created by 2K’s Firaxis Games development studio, Colonization is a standalone game that adds an entirely new scenario to the world of Civilization. In Colonization, players lead one of four European nations on a quest to colonize and thrive in the New World. Players will be challenged to guide their people from the oppressive motherland, discover the New World, and negotiate, trade and fight as they acquire power and battle for their freedom and independence.

Paradox Interactive and Taleworld’s Mount & Blade, an upcoming single-player medieval combat title for the PC, has gone gold and will be available in the United States on September 16th and Europe on September 19th.
