Trion, Petroglyph in MMO Pact

Trion World Network has inked a deal with Petroglyph to help create a massively multiplayer online real-time strategy (MMORTS) game. The game will use Trion’s server architecture, and represents the first 3rd-party development on the Trion Platform. The undisclosed game will be published by Trion worldwide. Further details were not disclosed at the time of this writing.
Petroglyph is best known for developing the Star Wars: Empire At War series. During their time at Westwood Studios, founding members of the Petroglyph team also helped create Dune 2, and played significant leadership roles such series as Command and Conquer and Red Alert.

GOA Signs Petroglyph MMO

True Games Interactive has signed an exclusive deal with GOA, Orange’s Games Unit to publish, distribute and operate True Games’ upcoming online title from Petroglyph Studios. In April of this year, True Games announced that it had partnered with Petroglyph Studios on an upcoming Free-to-Play micro-transaction based online game for the PC. GOA will manage the launch and all operations for major European territories and True Games will operate the North American version. True Games is also currently in negotiations for the game with partners in multiple Asian territories.
Petroglyph Studios is best known for its work on Star Wars: Empire At War and Universe at War series. Some of the studios core members are also responsible for creating the original Command and Conquer series, while at Westwood Studios.
