Blood Bowl: Dark Elves Edition dated

Dark Elves join Blood Bowl castBlood Bowl: Dark Elves Edition will be released on Steam November 26, according to Focus Home Interactive. Blood Bowl is an ultra-violent team sport set in the Warhammer fantasy universe that lets players compose a team of Orcs, Elves, Humans, Dwarves and many other fantasy creatures before jumping into the bloodiest arenas in the realms. The sport game is both strategic and violent and requires tactics, and a lot of self-confidence.

Recently released in Europe where it reached first place on the PC charts, Blood Bowl will be launched in the United States on the Steam digital platform starting November 26. Preorders started on November 19th. A brand new version of the game will be available for American players via Steam. The new version features the original eight races and an additional playable race: the dreadful Dark Elves. The Dark Elves will have their own star player, cheerleaders, and play style.

Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage allows players to live the life of a professional snowboarder vicariously through a video game.

The game features various modes of extreme sports play in such locales as New York’s Times Square and competitions in France, Canada, Japan and more. The game promises lots of new events 75 new challenges, seamless co-op multiplayer options, compatibility with Wii MotionPlus and Wii Balance Board, the ability to create and name your own snowboarding tricks, customizable charcters and more.

Water Sports for Wii in Oct.

GameMill Entertainment today announced a new game for the Wii simply called Water Sports. Set to release in October for Wii, the game utilizes the Wii Balance Board accessory and simple controls to get players on the water for some virtual fun. Water Sports promises to recreate the feeling of Wakeboarding, Wind Surfing, and Kite Boarding in locales such as Hawaii and Australia.

The game also offers co-op play for some modes like Wakeboarding where one player will drive the boat while the other player is on the Wakeboard.

EA Sports teams with Toy Island for sports toys

A new line of EA SPORTS branded sports equipment created by Toy Island will be in stores and available for purchase this fall, if you care for such things. Designed with youngsters in mind (ages 5 and up), Toy Island has begun rolling out the Sweet Spot Sports, Voice Command and Sure Shot lineup of EA SPORTS-branded products. All products will be on shelves by early October and include Sweet Spot Football, Sweet Spot Baseball with Bat, Sweet Spot Hockey Stick and Puck, and Sweet Spot Basketball and Hoop. Those products will retail for $14.99-$19.99 USD. The Sweet Spot Sports line of products comes with special electronic features that emit an audio reward when a user hits or holds the ball in the right spot, which hypothetically helps improve a youngster’s accuracy and hand-eye coordination.

The Voice Command and Sure Shot product lines, which have MSRPs between $69.99-$79.99, feature interactive training tools with instructional coaching to help athletes ages 5 and up hone their techniques in a particular sport. These products include the Voice Command Pitching Machine, Voice Command Quarterback, Sure Shot Basketball, and Sure Shot Hockey and Sure Shot Soccer combo (Available Exclusively at Target Stores).

DECA SPORTS 2 released

DECA SPORTS 2 for Wii has been released at North American retail outlets today. The sequel brings 10 new sports, online multiplayer and the same gameplay that helped the original DECA SPORTS ship over two million copies worldwide. With the addition of Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection online multiplayer, DECA SPORTS 2 allows players to remotely challenge other gamers across the country in tennis, ice hockey and dodge ball. The game also features diverse sports such as synchronized swimming, motorcycle road racing, speed skating, mogul skiing and darts, as well as lesser known international sports such as petanque and kendo. Gamers will also be able to design their own teams, customizing uniforms, athlete skills and their appearance.

And on a related note, Hudson Entertainment will sponsor complimentary tournaments featuring DECA SPORTS 2 at GameStop stores in San Jose, Boston and Denver. Each Deca League Challenge Event will be two separate days featuring a private weekday event exclusively for members of local Boys & Girls Clubs and a public weekend tournament where winners receive GameStop gift cards. Arcade Hockey released for iPhone

Brainjuice announced today that Arcade Hockey, its new air hockey game for the iPhone, has been approved by Apple and is available right now on the App Store. The game is Brainjuice’s take on classic air hockey, allowing for one or two player games with options for mallet and puck size, as well as three difficulty levels.

DECA SPORTS 2 gold, in stores Sept. 29

DECA SPORTS 2, the sequel to the original sports compilation from Hudson Entertainment that managed to ship two million units worldwide, has gone gold and is heading off to manufacturing for replication and final packaging. Published by Hudson Entertainment DECA SPORTS 2 will be available exclusively for Wii September 29th for $29.99.

DECA SPORTS 2 allows players to compete against others from around the country in games like dodge ball, ice hockey, tennis, synchronized swimming, motorcycle road racing, speed skating, mogul skiing, and darts, as well as lesser known international sports such as petanque and kendo. In addition to the new sports, gamers will also be able to design their own teams, customizing uniforms, athlete skill sets and even the looks of the athletes themselves.
