Users created content for Spore Galactic Adventures hits 100K
While it has only been a month since the launch of Spore Galactic Adventures, EA’s Maxis studio is reporting a major milestone today: more than 100,000 user-created adventures. Spore fans have created imaginative, wacky and fun missions with the game’s Adventure Creator. These adventures include such notables as The Silent Beacon, Valley of a Thousand Deaths and The Fog. More details on these missions can be found at the Sporepedia at www.spore.com.
Spore Galactic Adventures lets players take their creations from Spore on various kinds of adventures or make their own as noted above. This expansion pack requires the original game to play, of course. Available for PC and MAC® for $29.99, Spore Galactic Adventures is rated E10+ by the ESRB.
Spore Galactic Adventures released
The latest Spore game product from Maxis, Spore Galactic Adventures, is now available at North American retailers and will hit store shelves internationally on June 25th. This expansion to the original game delivers new adventures including becoming a space captain, exploring strange new planets, creating your own customized adventures, and taking your Spore creatures into the deepest darkest corners of a brand new galaxy.
In addition to the adventures in the box, players can download ten all-new adventures created by the writers of Robot Chicken. Available for free to all Spore Galactic Adventures owners, the Robot Chicken adventures take players through such twisted quests as a mission to obtain a library card by finding a ruler-yielding librarian her true love, and an adventure to save a princess by battling demonic snowmen in a snowglobe. Conceptualized by Robot Chicken co-creators Seth Green and Matt Senreich, the Robot Chicken Adventures were imagined by the show’s writing team including Matt Beans, Doug Goldstein, Mike Fasolo, Breckin Meyer, Dan Milano, Tom Root, Kevin Shinick, Hugh Sterbakov and Zeb Wells.
Available for PC and MAC for $29.99, Spore Galactic Adventures requires the original Spore game to play. Be sure to check out Crispy Gamer’s Spore Galactic Adventures Review.

Robot Chicken Invades Spore Galactic Adventures
The writers of Adult Swim’s Robot Chicken TV show and Spore Galactic Adventures Maxis have teamed up to create a special adventure that will be available at the product’s launch. The Adventures created by writers from this outrageously funny TV show will be available as free downloadable content when the game launches June 23.
The concept for this campaign was the work of Robot Chicken co-creators Seth Green and Matt Senreich and executed by the writing team including Matt Beans, Doug Goldstein, Mike Fasolo, Breckin Meyer, Dan Milano, Tom Root, Kevin Shinick, Hugh Sterbakov and Zeb Wells. Maxis says that players can expect to experience missions with exploding feces, angry yetis, ruler yielding librarians and more. Check out Robot Chicken’s exploits as they create Adventures at www.spore.com/wtf.

Spores Galore
EA announced today plans to expand on the relative success of Will Wright’s Spore with a series of new products. These new products include Spore Galactic Adventures, Spore Creature Keeper, Spore Hero and Spore Hero Arena.
The first is Spore Galactic Adventures, an expansion pack that promises to add depth to the original space game in Spore. Now players will be able to beam down to planets, play mission-based adventures and create their own customized adventures. Each adventure has a unique reward to upgrade a space creature with special accessories like Energy Blades, Stunning Charms, Jump Jet and more. Players can fight as a Warrior, be a Bard, and much more.
Next up is SporeCreature Keeper, a stand-alone PC game geared towards youngsters. Players create creatures and nurture, train and play with them. The game also promises lots of toys, clothes and gizmos to play with, but no strife.
Spore will also make its debut on the Nintendo Wii with SporeHero, an all-new adventure game focusing on creativity and evolution designed specifically for the Wii. Spore Hero Arena for Nintendo DS builds on Spore Creatures, allowing players to create Spore creatures and take them into battle with an array of other creatures across the galaxy.
Expect to hear more about all these games in the weeks and months ahead. Hopefully the PC games will find a new way to deal with digital rights management.
