Trine PC hits retail this week

Even though it has been available on Steam for quite some time, if you want a boxed retail version of Trine, then SouthPeak Interactive has your back. Trine, the puzzling physics-based fantasy game, has shipped out to retail shelves in North America. Trine follows the adventure of three characters that must work together to solve physics-based puzzles and fend off enemies in a world full of spiffy landscapes and high adventure.

Bound by a powerful artifact known as “the Trine,” the knight Pontius, the thief Zoya and the wizard Amadeus must combine their skills in order to succeed. The player must decide when to use knight’s strength, thief’s agility or wizard’s magic to overcome the many obstacles and challenges found in the this fantasy world. The game allows up to three players to work together in cooperative mode on the same screen and each level has multiple solutions allowing for replayability.

Trine is available for Windows PC at a suggested retail price of $29.99 and is rated T for Teen by the ESRB.

Southpeak to publish Shiro Tsuji’s Music

SouthPeak Interactive will be publishing Music, a musical activity game for Nintendo DS. Music promises a series of fun mini-games, multiple sound quizzes and a complete encyclopedia of more than 400 musical terms, Music is the first title available on Nintendo DS where the player can use their acquired knowledge well beyond the game. The creative force behind Music is Shiro Tsuji, a renowned composer, conductor, teacher and author of “Anybody Can Read Music.” Tsuji influenced the design by translating his lessons into a easy to use dual screen stylus symphony.

Music offers lessons, mini-games, and quizzes and, with the help of the pocket-sized conductor, 18 lessons to learn music. The game does with 65 notable compositions, and the ability to create your own classic compositions - which can be saved and the game can then playback the musical masterpieces.

Music is scheduled for release this fall.
