Wii Rock Band DLC Deluge

Harmonix and MTV Games announced today that Rock Band for the Wii will be getting 28 new songs on July 7th. With tracks from RockStar Energy Drink’s Mayhem Festival as well as back catalogs of songs from bands like The Presidents of the United States of America and The Offspring to Marilyn Manson and Lamb of God, there should be at least a little bit of something for everyone. The following is a list of the songs that will be available tomorrow:

Looks like a good week for Wii Rock Band players, though we note that Enigma and Mannheim Steamroller have been glaringly omitted.

Lips June song line-up

lips Lips June song line-up  genres This month, Microsoft’s Xbox 360 karaoke game, Lips, will get a variety of downloadable songs.  Some have already be released, with the next natch rolling out on June 19.

Tracks from such stars as Live, Concrete Blonde, Snow Patrol, Sean Kingston and many others will be available for purchase on Xbox Live Marketplace. A complete listing of these tracks, along with date of release can be found below:

Rock Band Surpasses $1 Billion in Sales

MTV Games and Harmonix today announced that the Rock Band franchise has officially surpassed $1 billion dollars in North American retail sales in 15 months, according to The NPD Group. In addition, over 40 million individual songs have been sold via download through the Rock Band store.

Over 614 songs are available via the Rock Band platform, both on-disc and in-game music store, as of March 24, 2009 from 269 different artists as of March 24, 2009. Over 40 million paid songs have been sold via download since Rock Band launched on November 20, 2007. Pretty impressive.
