All the controversy, the lawsuit against Epic, fights with the community at large and speeches from Dennis Dyack are unimportant as Silicon Knights’ action role-playing game, Too Human, finally makes its way to retail. Early reviews are not promising for Dyack’s game, but i’ll reserve judgment until our review goes live.
Too Human puts players in the other worldly boots of the cybernetic god Baldur who confronts an onslaught of machines threatening to exterminate mankind. Besides a unique character customization feature which allows for combinations of gear (weapons armor and cybernetic enhancements) Too Human also offers five character classes and online coop play that takes the game to a whole new level.
Look for our review very soon. You can learn more about the game by visiting www.xbox.com/toohuman.
Dennis Dyack’s action RPG has gone gold today and will be released August 19. Microsoft Game Studios and Silicon Knights also revealed that the Too Human demo on Xbox Live Marketplace has been downloaded 900,000 times. Too Human has had its ups and downs in development, and creator Dennis Dyack didn’t help the game by lashing out at certain forums about how great the game will be when it is released. Nevertheless, the general consensus among demo players has been relatively positive.
Too Human will have an estimated retail price of $59.99 and is rated “T” for Teen by the ESRB. For more information, check out our Too Human coverage.
Silicon Knights and Microsoft Game Studios have released the official Too Human demo on Xbox Live Marketplace this morning - an early treat as part of its E3 activities, or as they call it, “Bringing it Home.” Bring it on, I say.
Playing as cybernetic Norse god Baldur, players battle against ancient machine armies in a quest to save all mankind. The demo features part of the first level of the game, giving players a chance to get an idea of what Dennis Dyack and Silicon Knights has planned when the full game hits retail on August 19. Too Human will be rated “T” for teen and retail for right around $60.
