header4 Kym Worthy and the Evils of Video Games action

I touched upon this yesterday in The Rundown, but today let’s analyze the particulars. This week Wayne County, Michigan Prosecutor Kym Worthy released her list of Top 10 Violent Video Games Played By Teens. The list, which is actually a rehash of the Mature rated section of games from the National Institute on Media and the Family Video Game Report Card for 2008, feature’s a who’s who of the most popular “M” rated games in North America. The link between “teens wanting to play these particular games” is tenuous at best, but we’ll get to that in a minute.

Silent Hill Homecoming Comes Home

shh_ps3_5-12-65-640x Silent Hill Homecoming Comes Home actionKonami Digital Entertainment’s survival horror game, Silent Hill: Homecoming, creeps into retail today for the PS3 and Xbox 360 - and is also available via Steam for PC users. Homecoming marks the next-generation debut of the series, offering what you’d expect from a Silent Hill game: dark creepy locales, bizarre characters, a twisted story and plenty of scares.

Homecoming also promises a third-person camera view and a spiffy new combat system to mix things up. If you’re a fan of these kinds of games (I’m not, for the record, but don’t hate on me) then you’ll probably want to check this one out. It’s in stores right now, waiting for you.
