Shippin’ Out: Week of Nov. 16, 2009

New Super Mario Bros. Wii Released Buried in a sea of offal (the usual rush of products prior to the holiday shopping season stampede), are a number of promising games including multiple versions of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed 2, the new Tony Hawk game, Left 4 Dead 2, Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles, NCAA Basketball 2010, LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues, LittleBigPlanet’s PSP debut, and so much more. You can check out the rather massive list after the break - which doesn’t even include the new stuff making its way to digital distribution platforms like Steam, GamerGate, Impulse and more.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii was released on Sunday, Nov. 15, so if you haven’t gotten your copy yet, you should be able to find it at most major outlets.

unsc_wallpaper-640x Shipping Out - March 2 - 4, 2009 actionYou’ve heard everyone talk about Halo Wars and maybe you’ve even played the demo but this week you’ll be able to go to GameStop or Best Buy or wherever the hell it is you buy games, and pick up a copy. No more second hand accounts for you, my friend. Another strategy game, Empire: Total War, hits the PC this week as well - along with a fancy collector’s edition for those that have extra money during these hard, hard times.

Also out this week of general importance three new baseball games for various platforms, Tom Clancy’s HAWX, Tomb Raider Underworld for the PS2 (which I suspect will sell better than other platforms) several SpongeBob games (you know, for the kids), Sonic and the Black Knight and the promising Phantasy Star Portable.
