PC version of Terminator Salvation pulled from retail
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has issued a very brief statement on problems some players have been having with the PC version of Terminator Salvation. Apparently this bug, which does not affect other versions of the game, is serious enough to warrant pulling copies of the game off retail shelves. Full statement below:
“Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has been informed of a potential bug in the recent North American shipment of the PC product for Terminator Salvation the videogame. The bug does not extend to Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 product.
Our retail partners have been informed and directed to pull the PC product from shelves immediately. We expect replacement product to be available on shelves within the next 3-5 days.
Consumers who are encountering problems with the PC version of Terminator Salvation should email t4support@evolvedgames.com; details to get a replacement copy will be announced shortly.”
The last time I recall a game being pulled from retail shelves for s serious glitch was when Bungie yanked Myth 2 from shelves due to a serious issue with the installation software..

Qur’an References Force LittleBigPlanet Recall
Sometimes, you’ve got to wonder where these guys pick up music for their games. Word has come down from Sony today that the publisher will be issuing a worldwide recall on the upcoming LittleBigPlanet, less than a week before its scheduled North American release date. Apparently, the problem stems from one of the licensed background music tracks in the game, which contains two references to lines from the Qur’an, the central text of the Islamic religion.
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe released a statement saying:
“During the review process prior to the release of LittleBigPlanet, it has been brought to our attention that one of the background music tracks licensed from a record label for use in the game contains two expressions that can be found in the Qur’an. We have taken immediate action to rectify this and we sincerely apologise for any offence that this may have caused.
We will confirm the new launch date shortly.”
