I missed the rains down in Afrika, which is now gold

Natsume announced that Afrika for the PS3 system has gone gold. Natsume’s first title for the system, Afrika is a wildlife photography adventure set in an unexplored region of Africa. The game will be available at an MSRP of $49.99 and is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB. The game promises picturesque landscapes, more than 70 animals to find, over 100 missions to complete, and endless replayability. We shall see about that, but it is an interesting game for release exclusively on PS3 and not other platforms.

Animal Kingdom: Wildlife Expedition gold

Natsume’s Animal Kingdom: Wildlife Expedition has finished its development cycle and is heading off to manufacturing, with a release date of September 22 and an MSRP of $29.99.

In Animal Kingdom: Wildlife Expedition, players take on the role of a wildlife photographer exploring the wildlife of Animal Island. Each day, you’ll be tasked with completing specific assignments, such as taking pictures of particular animals, groups of animals, or animals engaged in certain actions.  Animal Kingdom: Wildlife Expedition promises a collection of backdrops as well including savanna, jungle, desert, waterfall, and lake areas in their quest to capture the perfect picture. By watching each environment carefully, players will learn to look for signs that will lead them to specific animals.

Is it wrong to want shooting in this game? Probably, but I said it. It’s like Pokémon Snap without the Pokémon. It’s like taking pictures in Dark Cloud 2, but only animals and only in the tropical climate of a made-up island. Look for the game later this month only on Wii.

The Games That Time Forgot

The games we're pulling together in this feature won't appear on any of those best-of lists and get confused looks when you mention them in conversation. Just because time has forgotten these titles, though, doesn't mean you should forget them, too.
