Phantasy Star Portable Demo Soon .. For Japan

Japanese PSP owners will soon be able to get a healthy dose of Sega’s portable Phantasy Star action RPG for themselves when the demo is released on July 14th - a full week before the full game is released in Japan. Based on Sega’s online focused Phantasy Star Universe, the game demo offers familiar gameplay through the first chapter of the game as well as 5 missions from the multiplayer mode (Multi mode). It will be available at select retailers in Japan as well as a download from the game’s official site.

No word on whether the game will be making its way to Europe or North America, but if it is, we’ll hear more at E3 next week. Sega is also promising downloadable content in the future, but details on that are pretty thin.
