Shimano Xtreme Fishing lets you kill fish dead
Mastiff’s Shimano Xtreme Fishing for Wii is now shipping to retailers throughout North America. Shimano Xtreme Fishing lets you go fishing using a traditional rod and reel or up close and personal with a spear gun and SCUBA gear, or bow and arrow. Those fish don’t stand much of a chance, do they?
Naturally all of the gear in the game will be heavily branded; Shimano Voltaeus fishing rods, Hoyt bows, AMS Bowfishing reels and accessories, and Muzzy arrow points.
Shimano Xtreme Fishing lets players use this gear in environments ranging from the cold dark waters of a North American reservoir to a roaring Amazon waterfall, Mayan ruins, the hidden lagoons of a southern island, and the shark-infested shipwrecks of a tropical sea. Shimano Xtreme Fishing includes a series of tournaments, each with varied scenery and unique weather conditions. As players progress through the levels, they will unlock new tackle, clothing and sporting accessories too. In total the game offers three careers, 12 tournaments, more than 65 stages and multiplayer. Find out more at www.sxf-game.com.
Mastiff, Remington team up for bird murder game
Mastiff and Remington Arms Company, have teamed up to bring Remington’s legendary firearms to Wii with the upcoming bird hunting game Remington Great American Bird Hunt. Remington makes quality shotguns, rifles and ammunition for hunting and shooting things and is one of the most recognizable names in outdoor sports and liquor store robberies - though admittedly Smith and Wesson is also a familiar name amongst users of both legal and illegal guns.
“Mastiff’s success with outdoor sports games coupled with their commitment to quality and attention to detail make them a great fit for the Remington brand” said Marc Hill, Chief Marketing Officer for the Freedom Group Family of Companies, including Remington Arms Company, Inc. “Introducing hunting and the shooting sports to youth and non-shooters, is a key strategy for Remington, and we’re incredibly excited to share our passion in the Remington Great American Bird Hunt game.
Remington Great American Bird Hunt for Wii will be released for distribution nationwide in October 2009.
I Can Hear Myself Getting Fat
Mastiff announced today that it has acquired the rights to make games based on Major League Eating (MLE). Major League Eating oversees all the top eating events in the nation, including the Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog-Eating Contest, and counts among its members Takeru Kobayashi, the Japanese eating phenomenon, and American Joey Chestnut, current champion of the world. Sounds like a real coronary-copia of fun for the whole family!
The first game to come out of this license will feature the world’’s greatest athletes competing across 12 different food types. The game will borrow elements from fighting games using offensive and defensive weapons including burps, belches, mustard gas and other disturbing gameplay mechanics, coupled with on-screen eating antics.
Mastiff didn”t say on what platforms the game will be available, nor did it supply a release date or rating. Stay tuned.
