Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box in stores
Professor Layton makes his triumphant return this week in his latest DS adventure, Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box. The follow-up to Professor Layton and the Curious Village, Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box includes 150 puzzles, voice acting and animated scenes that tell the story, and - of course - more Luke.
Players will have to solve brain-teasers, riddles and puzzles to help the good Layton and his apprentice Luke uncover the mystery surrounding the Elysian Box, which is said to be deadly to all who open it. When you’re done with the game you can also connect your DS to a broadband Internet connection to get some free bonus puzzles. Nintendo says that these bonus puzzles extend the play time of the game, which we hope would be the case if we are going to go through the trouble of going online to get them, right?

More Professor Layton For Japan
In the glossy pages of the latest issue of Japanese gaming Famitsu are pictures and words about Professor Layton. When these words and images are strung together in the right order they reveal that a third professor Layton game called Professor Layton and the Devil’s Flute exists. This makes three games and one movie that have not been published in North America or Europe. Since the first game for the DS was part of a trilogy, one would only assume that this particular game is the start of a second trilogy of games starring the good professor and his assistant. Yes, the game is being developed by Level-5.
Hopefully Nintendo will bring all of these games to America, but just knowing they exists might make you feel warm and fuzzy inside - or very, very sad that you live somewhere other than Japan..
thanks, Joystiq.
