Diner Dash makes a mad rush to Xbox Live Arcade

Diner Dash Xbox Live Arcade Hudson Entertainment’s Diner Dash is now on Xbox LIVE Arcade for a mere 800 MS points. The game features updated HD graphics and 8-person multiplayer mode. Like the casual games on which it is based, this XBLA version of Diner Dash lets players take direct control of Flo as she runs around like a crazy person to seat patrons, take orders, deliver food, receive payment and bus tables as efficiently as possible within the time limit allowed. Players can also team up with up to seven other players in multiplayer across four diners in Team Dash or go 1 on 1 in head-to-head mode.

bomberman  action Hudson Entertainment’s Bomberman Blitz debuts on the Nintendo DSi today for 500 points. Bomberman Blitz allows gamers to relive the classic Bomberman flavor on DSi. Players have the ability to play up to 8 players at home or online through the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, battle in 10 unique locations, and the ability to control the game using the DSi’s dual screens. All the power-ups that affect bombs, strengthen blast range, running and much more are also in the mix. Finally the game offers a new training mode that allows newcomers to learn the Bomberman gameplay and get right in on the action.

DECA SPORTS 2 released

DECA SPORTS 2 for Wii has been released at North American retail outlets today. The sequel brings 10 new sports, online multiplayer and the same gameplay that helped the original DECA SPORTS ship over two million copies worldwide. With the addition of Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection online multiplayer, DECA SPORTS 2 allows players to remotely challenge other gamers across the country in tennis, ice hockey and dodge ball. The game also features diverse sports such as synchronized swimming, motorcycle road racing, speed skating, mogul skiing and darts, as well as lesser known international sports such as petanque and kendo. Gamers will also be able to design their own teams, customizing uniforms, athlete skills and their appearance.

And on a related note, Hudson Entertainment will sponsor complimentary tournaments featuring DECA SPORTS 2 at GameStop stores in San Jose, Boston and Denver. Each Deca League Challenge Event will be two separate days featuring a private weekday event exclusively for members of local Boys & Girls Clubs and a public weekend tournament where winners receive GameStop gift cards. Bomberman ULTRA now available on PSN

Bomberman makes his debut on PS3 in Bomberman ULTRA, now available for download on the PlayStation Network. Published by Hudson Entertainment, Bomberman ULTRA maintains the classic gameplay elements Bomberman fans have come to love and offers 7-person local and 8-person online multiplayer game sessions.

Other features include leaderboards, the ability to customize your Bomberman with more than 50 character costumes, the ability to customize which power-ups and gimmicks appear on each level, and a whole lot more. Log on to the PlayStation Network for further details.

Originally launched in the US in 1987, over 60 iterations on nearly all major consoles of Bomberman have been released, with over 10 million units sold to date.

Hudson’s Help Wanted Released

Hudson’s game of finding gainful employment, Help Wanted,  is now in stores for the Wii. Described as a wacky job compilation video game,  Help Wanted sees players join the workforce to tackle some 50 odd and quirky jobs including Astronaut, Tailor, Bodybuilder, Clown, Sky Diving Camera Man, Boat Captain and more.  Of course, the game is really about saving the world from impending extinction, so players will spend the money they earn on defense items to prevent a meteor from hitting the earth. It’s like Armageddon, but without an Aerosmith soundtrack, big stars or a plot.. Okay, it’s not anything like that.

  

With each dollar earned players can spend their salary on new job uniforms to join different careers and make even more money.  In addition, players buy the aforementioned special defensive goods that will help to save the planet or delay its extinction from a meteor. The game includes multiple difficulty levels that change up the game play elements and a multiplayer feature that allows for head-to-head play with 15 different jobs.

Miami Law Gold, in Stores June 9

miamilaw Miami Law Gold, in Stores June 9 actionHudson Entertainment’s Miami Law, an action-adventure video game for the DS, has gone gold. The game is a DS exclusive and is set to ship on June 9, 2009. Miami Law tells the tale of a shadowy terrorist conspiracy through the perspective of two characters: Miami police detective Law Martin and FBI agent Sara Starling. Each character offers a different style of play.

As Sarah, players will have to solve puzzles and gather clues, while Law is all about shoot-outs and high speed car chases. Unlockable extras, including Texas Hold ‘Em Poker and Sudoku, are also included and can be played at any time after being unlocked. Victor Ireland’s Gaijinworks handled the localization of the title and Miami Beat Wave composed music exclusively for game.

Look for the game in stores in early June.

Help Wanted: The Game…

homeless Help Wanted: The Game... casualIronic or cruel, but Hudson Entertainment is working on a game where players look for a job. The game, being developed for the Wii, is slated for release in Summer 2009 - just in time for the worldwide recession to either be over or turn into the second GREAT DEPRESSION.

Of course, Help Wanted isn’t about getting a job - it’s really about saving the world. In the game players are tasked with getting fifty different jobs and doing all of them well. Help Wanted allows players to choose from c fifty odd jobs, including Haunted House Monster, Clown, Make-up Artist, Pinch Hitter, Pizza Chef, Stunt Car Driver, Sumo Referee, Action Hero, Sushi Master and Live Blogger. Okay the last one was made up, but you get the idea.
