Kratos invades SOULCALIBUR: Broken Destiny

Hey you got your Kratos in my Broken Destiny! Namco Bandai Games announced that the popular God of War star will be a playable character in the upcoming SOULCALIBUR: Broken Destiny game for PSP. Developed by Project Soul exclusively for the PSP, SOULCALIBUR: Broken Destiny promises its signature weapon-based fighting, challenging single-player modes, head-to-head multiplayer and little extras like the ability to play as Kratos.
Kratos managed to score a guest star slot because:
1) He’s cool.
2) Namco Bandai thinks he’s cool.
3) SCEA’s Santa Monica Studio thinks SOULCALIBUR is cool.
SOULCALIBUR: Broken Destiny for the PSP will be released in North America this summer.

Williams is basing his conclusion on a recent consumer data poll which found that only two out of three people surveyed who plan to purchase God of War III currently own a PS3. God of War III is pegged for release in late 2009 or early 2010 at this time. If this data is true it could mean one of two outcomes for Sony: a boost in PS3 hardware sales or less than expected sales of God of War III due to the late adopters not willing to make the jump to Sony’s newest system.
