GDC 2010 registration opens

gdc GDC 2010 registration opens industryRegistration has opened today for the 2010 Game Developers Conference, taking place March 13, 2010 and one again in San Francisco. GDC 2010 is five days of lectures, panels, summits, tutorials and roundtable discussions on game development topics delivered by leading industry luminaries and experts.

In addition to a variety of Summits and talks ay GDC this year, it also home of the Game Developers Choice Wards, the Independent Games Festival and much, much more. More information on GDC 2010 and how to register early, can be found www.gdconf.com/attend.

GDC 2010 call for submissions

Organizers of the Game Developers Conference 2010 have announced the call for submissions for the various GDC Summits. Submissions are open now and will remain so through November 13. This year’s GDC Summits, which take place on the first two days of GDC week in San Francisco (March 9th – 10th, 2010), have a line-up that includes two new events in the form of the Social & Online Games Summit, and the iPhone Games Summit. These will be held alongside the GDC Mobile/Handheld, Independent Games, and Serious Games Summits.

The multi-track Social & Online Games Summit is focused on opportunities for games in social networking services such as Facebook and MySpace. The iPhone Games Summit, first held at Game Developers Conference Austin 2009 , marks its San Francisco debut at GDC 2010. This Summit will bring together top iPhone and iPod Touch developers from around the world to share ideas, business tips and best practices and discuss the future of Apple’s increasingly important game platform.
