Sherlock Holmes versus Jack the Ripper released
Sherlock Holmes versus Jack the Ripper is currently available in many European countries, but Focus Home Interactive wants to convince North American gamers that this game is all that. To that end it has released a playable demo, which it hopes will give players a taste of what it’s like to live in Whitechapel as the greatest detective of all time. The 591MB playable demo lets you play as Sherlock Holmes at the very beginning of the game and witness Jack the Ripper’s first murder as a spectator.
This new demo showcases the many graphical, technical and narrative improvements made in the series as well as demonstrating the innovative use of two different views, according to Focus Home Interactive. The first perspective, the classic view, lets you control Sherlock Holmes as in a traditional point and click game while the second perspective allows you to play in first-person mode.
Oh, and the game is now available at retail, thanks to The Adventure Company.
