Warhammer Online invades Ace of Cakes tonight
Tonight (August 27) on Food Networks Ace of Cake’s Chef Duff will be showing off a pretty amazing cake he and his team helped create for Mythic’s popular MMORPG, Warhammer Online. The cake, shown below, is modeled after a familiar Warhammer Online creature - the Squig. The cake was part of Warhammer Online’s Baltimore Games Day booth earlier this year and was well received by everyone that saw it first hand - as you’ll see in tonight’s episode. Interestingly, Duff calls the Squig the best cake he’s made on the show. In a recent interview with USA Today Chef Duff said as much:
“It’s coming up. We made a cake of a monster called Squig from a video game called Warhammer for a video-game convention. This thing was about the size of large sheepdog. It was gigantic. It was a humongous cake balanced on two legs.”

Namco Bandai licenses Terminal Reality’s Infernal Engine
NAMCO BANDAI Games America has licensed Terminal Reality’s Infernal Engine for an upcoming Food Network branded cooking game, the company announced today. NAMCO BANDAI has selected the Infernal Engine to power the upcoming video game title Food Network: Cook or Be Cooked , developed by Red Fly Studio and scheduled for release later this year.
Terminal Reality will be showing the Infernal Engine to interested developers and publishers by appointment at the Electronics Entertainment Expo (E3) from June 2 - 4 in Los Angeles.

Iron Chef America: Supreme Cuisine Revealed
Kitchen Stadium is about to come alive with a brand new Iron Chef America game starring Iron Chefs Mario Batali and Masaharu Morimoto. To be published by Destineer, Iron Chef America: Supreme Cuisine for the DS and Wii lets players square off in Kitchen Stadium and battle through a series fast-paced culinary challenges. Each victory advances players closer to a final showdown that will determine who will reign supreme as the next Iron Chef America. Iron Chef America: Supreme Cuisine is schedule for a fall 2008 release.
The game will feature Mario Batali’s and Masaharu Morimoto’s likeness and voices in the game, and we suspect that other Iron Chefs will be key characters in the game. Iron Chef America airs on the Food Network, in case you didn’t know. Let’s hope the game’s secret ingredient will be fun.
