Blood Bowl: Dark Elves Edition dated

Dark Elves join Blood Bowl castBlood Bowl: Dark Elves Edition will be released on Steam November 26, according to Focus Home Interactive. Blood Bowl is an ultra-violent team sport set in the Warhammer fantasy universe that lets players compose a team of Orcs, Elves, Humans, Dwarves and many other fantasy creatures before jumping into the bloodiest arenas in the realms. The sport game is both strategic and violent and requires tactics, and a lot of self-confidence.

Recently released in Europe where it reached first place on the PC charts, Blood Bowl will be launched in the United States on the Steam digital platform starting November 26. Preorders started on November 19th. A brand new version of the game will be available for American players via Steam. The new version features the original eight races and an additional playable race: the dreadful Dark Elves. The Dark Elves will have their own star player, cheerleaders, and play style.

BattleForge Renegade Edition in August

renegade BattleForge Renegade Edition in August genresEA’s Phenomic studio will be expanding its online focused real-time strategy game, BattleForge with the BattleForge Renegade Edition card set beginning August 25th. Players will have access to new units and buildings from the Southern Wastes region of Nyn using over 60 additional cards that will be available through a Renegade Booster Packs in the in-game store. In case you didn’t know, BattleForge is a free to play game that combines strategy, fantasy, trading cards and magical spells in an online environment.

Two new playable factions will be part of that expansion: the Bandits and Stonekin, along with a host of new legendary creatures. BattleForge will also get dual orb cards and special affinities. The new BattleForge Renegade Booster Packs are available at the in-game store and can be purchased for 250 BattleForge points or $2.50. To download the free version of BattleForge, players can visit www.battleforge.com and click on “Play4Free.”

The sequel to the popular PC strategy title will be available for purchase through retail and on all major digital distribution channels.

Sequel to Cyberlore’s popular fantasy kingdom strategy simulation game, Majesty 2 lets players rule a unique world through indirect control of characters and units, hero recruitment and hands-off combat. Doing so can pose quite the challenge, for your heroes are just as likely to stop in for a beer at the local tavern as they are to fight monsters and undertake heroic quests. Mixing humor and charm into a magical landscape that is quite unlike anything else, Majesty 2 is primed to offer strategy fans a fantastic experience never to be forgotten.

PANGYA: Fantasy Golf released

TOMY Corporation has released PANGYA: Fantasy Golf for the PSP this week in North America. PANGYA: Fantasy Golf is, as the title suggests, a fantasy golf game that offers cute characters, action-y physics and fantasy golf courses based on real world locales and some imaginative fictional locations. The PSP version of the game is loosely based on the popuylar massively multiplayer fantasy golf game, PANGYA, developed by Ntreev Soft.

The game promises more than 1,300 character customization options, play for all skill levels and a world full of anime and fantasy inspired characters set in picturesque environments. The game retails for $29.99. For more information, check out www.TOMY-USA.com/videogames.

SpellForce 2 – Faith in Destiny announced

JoWooD Productions and DreamCatcher Games have teamed up once again to bring a sequel to SpellForce to North America. SpellForce 2 – Faith in Destiny combines real time strategy with role-playing game elements wrapped up in a whole new story about a showdown between good and evil. Further details on the game are under wraps right now, but here’s what JoWooD had to say about today’s announcement.

BattleForge now Play 4 Free

bf BattleForge now Play 4 Free actionPhenomic announced that its real-time strategy game, BattleForge, is now available as a free download. To download the “Play 4 Free” version of BattleForge, simply visit www.battleforge.com and click on the handy dandy Play 4 Free link. Players can also follow the game on Twitter at @battleforge.

Phenomic says that making this game available for free, all players have “easy and immediate access to the action and adventure in BattleForge” and that the “flood of new players will enrich the overall gameplay experience and grow the community.”

The Play 4 Free version offers full access to the BattleForge game, including all community features, scenarios, the recently launched Renegade campaign and 32 of 200 trading cards. Play 4 Free players will also be able to explore the full world of BattleForge and add more cards to their collection by purchasing points online. Players that do not wish to download the game or purchase the cards online can still buy the retail version which includes a disk-based game and cards from all 4 factions plus 3000 BattleForge Points that can be exchanged for in-game cards. This retail version of the game remains available for $29.99.

Trion World to debut Heroes of Telara at E3

Trion World Network announced this week that it plans to unveil its first videogame, Heroes of Telara, at E3 2009. Heroes of Telara is a fantasy-themed MMO that Trion says will deliver “an unprecedented level of rich and dynamic gameplay, driven by recurring events, unexpected challenges and limitless new content.” And that’s the only information we are going to get until E3, apparently.
