Elebits Sequel a DS Exclusive

Elebits was kind of a hit and a miss for Konami on the Wii, despite offering some interesting and fun gameplay. Konami Digital Entertainment is going to see how the franchise fares on the DS with a new game called Elebits: The Adventures of Kai and Zero. A direct sequel to Elebits, the game is being billed as “hide and seek” where players try to find, capture and befriend the tiny creatures known as Elebits who serve as energy sources.

Elebits hold magical powers and the ability to complete puzzles and quests, so it is up to the player to capture them and use them to move ahead in the game. Utilizing each of the Elebits’ special powers, players can solve puzzles, reveal hidden paths, freeze flowing water, turn darkness into light, levitate rocks, and much more. Players are also able to compete head-to-head using the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, battling up to four friends simultaneously.

The game will be released this fall.
