jordan1 EA Signs Wheel of Time Deal film

EA Partners has signed on to distribute Red Eagle Games’ series of video games based on the popular fantasy book series, The Wheel of time. The last time we saw a game based on this popular and best selling series was 1999 with Legend Entertainment’s first-person RPG flavored shooter “The Wheel of Time” - a prequel set hundreds of years before the first book with some continuity problems. Red Eagle Games is working on video games across all platforms including consoles, the PC and mobile devices, according to today’s announcement. There is also a mention of a Wheel of Time MMORPG being in the works, though the details on that as of this writing are paper-thin.

EA Signs Pact with Epic Games

Electronic Arts and Epic Games announced that they have signed a publishing agreement for an all-new action title for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. The title in question will be an all new, original intellectual property to be developed by the fine folks at Epic’s People Can Fly studio in Poland.

People Can Fly are best known for creating the popular first-person shooter Painkiller on the Xbox and PC. That game, in my opinion was hot, so I have high hopes that People Can Fly will create something just as compelling and fun.
