Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter in stores

THQ has released Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter for Wii and Nintendo DS in North America today. Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter, takes players back to Raposa Village, which has been inhabited by an evil shadowy figure. Players must once again draw a hero and create weapons and tools to conquer enemies.

The latest game adds an Action Drawing tool that allows for objects to be drawn directly into the game to help players navigate through the environments. Players will be able to morph their hero into a blob or a spider, completing each level a variety of different ways. The game’s Action Drawing Tool gives each color special properties in order to help solve puzzles and progress through the game. Along the way, players will collect coins and color drops to unlock a variety of content, including new levels, weapon upgrades, customization options and hero abilities. In addition, Multiplayer allows players to trade heroes, weapons, items and accessories with friends.

Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter is rated E for everyone and is available for the suggested retail prices of $49.99 on Wii and $29.99 on Nintendo DS.

thq THQ reveals E3 2009 line-up action THQ revealed its E3 line-up today on this first day of the annual trade show dedicated to all things video games. The company will showcasing a number of original titles, licensed properties and products based on TV and film franchises. Games on display this week Relic’s Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, Kaos Studios’ Homefront and Rainbow Studios ’ MX vs. ATV Reflex. THQ will also be offering extended hands-on time with Vigil Games’ post-apocalyptic action-adventure title Darksiders and Red Faction: Guerrilla , which was released today.

THQ’s kids and family portfolio will be highlighted by first looks at Marvel Super Hero Squad, Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter and World of Zoo.

THQ will also be presenting WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010, the recently released UFC 2009 Undisputed, Cars Race-O-Rama, Dragonica Online, All Star Cheer Squad 2, SpongeBob’s Truth or Square and James Patterson: Women’s Murder Club Games of Passion.

All of these games will be on display in booth #5300, in the West Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center June 2-4.

THQ has begun development on the follow-up up to Drawn to Life franchise, Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter. The new game is currently in development exclusively for Nintendo’s Wii and DS platforms. Featuring a new action drawing feature and better drawing tools, Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter promises a much improved experience in a new set of worlds that players create and then explore. The game is scheduled for release in fall 2009.

In Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter for Wii, players draw their own heroes using the Wii Remote to find the Artifacts of Power and rid the Raposa village of an evil, shadowy figure named Wilfre that has taken over the land. Throughout the game, players will draw more than 100 items from drawing tools, such as vehicles, weapons and other tools, to conquer their enemies.

The new Action Drawing tool allows objects to be drawn directly into the game to help navigate through several environments, including a sky world, a jungle and a shadow city. In addition, the game’s multi-layer feature will allow players to draw their team members and equipment to compete against others in a variety of mini-games, such as soccer, hockey and basketball.
