Deep Silver signs Prison Break game deal
This will probably not turn out the way it was intended, but Deep Silver has inked a deal with Twentieth Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising to publish a video game based on the popular Fox television series Prison Break. The game is being developed by Zootfly, will be released by Deep Silver for next gen consoles and PC at an undisclosed date.
The protagonist of the Prison Break game is Company agent Tom Paxton, who is sent to the Fox River State Penitentiary to find out why Michael Scofield (the hero of the TV series), a man without a previous criminal record, became a bank robber. The storyline runs parallel to the first season of Prison Break, with Paxton encountering several characters from the series and experiencing key events from his own perspective.
Good luck Deep Silver.

The Godfather II in February 2009
Electronic Arts and Paramount Digital Entertainment today offered the very first “official” details on The Godfather II video game. The sequel to EA’s previous The Godfather games put players into the role of “The Don” of New York City as you control your organization and attempt to expand your territory in NYC and Florida in the 1960’s.
To help players manage their empire, The Godfather II introduces “The Don’s View” – a strategy meta-game that allows players to oversee their organization. Using the Don’s View, players will be able to build, defend and expand their crime rings, while keeping an eye on the movements and plans of the rival families. Players will also build a crew , handing out orders, and promoting their best men up the ranks.
But don’t worry action fans, The Godfather II game will not focus soley on strategy. The Godfather II promises to expand on the gameplay mechanics of the first game and offers even more interactive BlackHand style hand-to-hand brutality, a new combo system, pressure tactics and executions. Players will fight alongside their hand-picked crew, who have their own skills and expertise. Each family member specializes in a specific field such as demolitions, arson, engineering, first-aid and more. As The Don you control the family, sending some of your men on missions while heading off into action with others. The combination of strategic organized crime gameplay and brutal BlackHand action sets The Godfather II apart from other open-world games.
The Godfather II will be coming to the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC in February 2009.
