Left 4 Dead 2 demo available for pre-order customers
It’s official! Valve Software passed along word this morning that the official Left 4 Dead 2 demo is now available on Xbox Live to those customers that pre-ordered the game. For those that didn’t you’re going to have to wait a week longer. See how it works? Anyway PC users will also be able to grab the demo if they pre-ordered via Steam.

Left 4 Dead is set for release on Nov. 17 via Steam and traditional retail.
Medal Wars demo available now
A demo for Medal Wars is now available on PC at www.medalwars.com. Medal Wars is an cartoon style action-RPG set in the chaos of World War 1. The demo features the first act from the game. The full game will offer three character classes with unique attributes and weapon skills, 24 areas to explore, an advanced combat system that offers a deep targeting system, an on-screen inventory and full multiplayer support for Local Area Network and internet.
The demo doesn’t require much to run: Windows 95, 98, XP, Vista; Pentium 500 or equivalent; 64 MB RAM; 20 MB available hard drive space and a 16 MB video card. If you can meet those meager requirements then you should grab the demo now at the link above.
Painkiller Resurrection demo released
A playable demo for DreamCatcher Games’ Painkiller Resurrection is now available for download, giving players a slight taste of the game that is set for release on Tuesday, Oct. 27 in North America. Based on the 2004 first-person shooter from People Can Fly, this new game tells the story of William ‘Wild Bill’ Sherman, an ex CIA Agent who managed to get himself and many innocent civilians killed in his final mission on the plane of the living. Now trapped in Purgatory, Sherman finds himself fighting in the eternal war between heaven and hell.
Painkiller Resurrection promises a new coop multiplayer campaign mode, new levels, new monsters and a whole new storyline. Other incidental features include improved shadows and texture resolution, moveable light sources, post processing, motion blur, ambient occlusion and lots of physics-based action that made the original such a hit.

Left 4 Dead 2 demo details
Valve has revealed a few details and the release date for the demo of its upcoming zombie thriller sequel, Left 4 Dead 2. Most notable is what will be in the demo: it will feature gameplay taken from “The Parish” campaign, set in the New Orleans French Quarter. This will be playable by 1 to 4 players over local or Internet connections on both the Xbox 360 and PC (with two-player split screen available on the Xbox 360), the demo features all the new boss infected zombies and all the new melee weapons included in the full game as well.
Those who pre-order the game (at participating retailers or via Steam) will obtain early access to the demo on October 27. The demo will then be made available to Xbox LIVE Gold members and PC gamers on November 3. Then all Xbox LIVE members will obtain access to the demo on November 10.

Risen demo released
Deep Silver and developer Piranha Bytes have released a North American version of the playable demo for the role-playing game Risen, offering players a chance to get a first impression of some of the adventures that await them on the island of Faranga. Of course, the demo also allows them to test how well the full version of Risen will run on their PCs.
The demo is available for download at risen.deepsilver.com.
The Risen demo lets players experience the introduction of the nameless hero who survives a shipwreck and lands on the shore of the Island of Faranga. Numerous decisions must be made within the course of the adventure, each one influencing the storyline in different ways. The complete retail version of Risen is now available in stores and via Steam.
NBA 2K10 demo released
2K Sports today announced that a free demo of NBA 2K10 is now available for download exclusively on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. The demo lets fans relive this past season’s exciting NBA Finals and play in a four minute quarter as either the Orlando Magic or Los Angeles Lakers at a virtual Staples Center in Los Angeles. A demo on PlayStation Network will follow shortly.
Developed by 2K Sports’ Visual Concepts studio, NBA 2K10 is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB and will be available on October 6th for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 , PlayStation 2, and PSP. NBA 2K10 ships to retailers for Windows PC on October 12th and Wii on October 19th.
Need for Speed SHIFT demo Oct. 1
Electronic Arts announced that the demo for Need for Speed SHIFT will be available for download on October 1 on PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE. The demo gives players a chance to see how SHIFT delivers on the Need for Speed promise of speed, adrenaline and precision racing. The demo will feature
the BMW M3 (E46), 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10, 2006 Lotus Elise 111R, 2008 Nissan GT-R and the 2006 Pagani Zonda F (unlockable).
