Those of you longing to rock out as one of the Fab 4 will get your chance this week with the release of The Beatles Rock Band - this week’s headline game release on multiple platforms including the Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360 along with two unique guitar peripheral packages.

Other highlights include Mini Ninjas, Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days, DiRT 2, Darkest of Days, LittleBigPlanet GOTY, and Wallace & Gromit Episode 2 on Xbox Live Arcade. The full list of this week’s releases can be found below:

Darkest of Days demo coming tomorrow

Phantom EFX and independent game development studio 8monkey Labs will release a PC demo of Darkest of Days, an upcoming historically-based first person shooter, on August 11. The demo promises serious action as players are thrown into the middle of a battle throughout time, learning some hands-on time with a variety of weapons, who the game will work when it is released later this year.

Look for the demo on the game’s official site (www.darkestofdays.com) tomorrow.

Darkest of Days pre-order available

Phantom EFX and independent game development studio 8monkey Labs announced that pre-orders are now available for it historically-based first person shooter, Darkest of Days. Pre-orders are currently only available from Phantom EFX’s online storefront at store.phantomefx.com.

Darkest of Days puts players in the shoes of a time traveler who si charged with rewriting history for the better. Players will travel back and forth through the annals time to relive some mankind’s most dire hours like The Battle of Antietam, key events during World War I and World War II, and more.
