Cross Fire Site Goes Live
G4BOX has launched the official web site for its upcoming online first-person shooter, Cross Fire. In addition to the web site, which offers some video, screenshots and information on the game, users can sign up, take part in the community and prepare for the beta launch later this year. G4Box says that it will give early access to the beta to those who are early adopters in the community. The closed beta will kick off in early November.
In Cross Fire, players join one of two international mercenary corporations (Global Risk mercenary or a
Black List terrorist) working to complete objective-based scenarios.
Cross Fire in its current state seems like a poor man’s Counter-Strike, but hopefully that impression will melt away once we see the game first-hand. the developers promise four modes of play Team Match, Team Death Match, Annihilation, and
the all-new Ghost Mode for up to 16 players in one session. the game also promises a military ranking system (unlocking exclusive items and gear as they advance),
player customization (items, weapons, and equipment), an integrated friends list and clan formation system and more. Find out more at the new official site, located at www.crossfire-en.com.
