What to Watch: The Deepening
I saw this on Friday but I forgot to mention it in the news. I am referring to the interesting interactive story The Deepening. A sort-of homage to The Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage” video, The Deepening is a playable web comedy short video that is reminiscent of those old Play Your Own Adventure books. Basically at certain points in the video it gives you some 8-bit inspired choices on which direction to take the story into. this of course can lead to some funny but unhappy endings for the story and its crazy characters.
You can check the video out at http://www.atom.com/spotlights/deepening/ . When I played it I got everyone killed. Oops! I should probably give it another shot. To quote Danny Glover - “RIGGS! I’m gettin’ too old for this sh*t!”

The game starring the popular rap star features run-and-gun third person action, co-op so your stupid friends can play (you know who you are), and over 40 songs, including 50 Cent’s greatest hits and an “album’s-worth of never-before-heard tracks.” Learn more about this PS3 and Xbox 360 game by visiting www.50bloodonthesand.com.
So who will the next big star be to cut a game deal? I have a few game titles ready to go after the break:

Eat Lead Goes Gold
Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard has gone gold and will hit retail for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on March 3rd. In Eat Lead, players will take on the role of videogame star Matt Hazard, voiced by Will Arnett (Arrested Development, 30 Rock) who is about to get permanently canccled by evil CEO Wallace “Wally” Wellesley voiced by Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog). Eat Lead is a third-person action game that pokes fun at the action game genre, promising lots of jokes, shooting, some other jokes, shooting, followed closely by even more jokes.
Either the game will be incredibly lame or completely awesome, but we’ll all have to wait until March 3 to find out. Developed by Vicious Cycle, Eat Lead is rated “T” by the ESRB. You can learn more by visiting www.EatLeadVideoGame.com.

Top 8 Rejected PS3 Games
Crispy Gamer’s resident cynic and part-time code ninja Chris Buecheler seems to have way too much time on his hands, if this Top 8 Rejected PS3 Games list is any indication.
Chris gives us a unique inside look at 8 games that never saw the light of day for one reason or another, despite the marketability of all. I won’t to spoil it for you (hit the link and read it for yourselves) but any game that allows you to scale old people and stab them in their gray spots is a major win in my opinion.
