Panzer General: Allied Assault announced

Ubisoft announces it will be releasing Panzer General: Allied Assault on Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360 this fall. Developed by Petroglyph, Panzer General: Allied Assault is a single and multiplayer digital card game that takes place during the last phase of World War II (from 1944 to 1945). Players can reenact famous World War II battles such as Utah Beach, Operation Market Garden, and the infamous Battle of the Bulge. They’ll apparently be able to do this with a combination of building, customizing and fighting with a personalized deck of 60 digital cards.

Panzer General: Allied Assault is scheduled for release in Fall 2009. Petroglyph has also licensed Panzer General: Allied Assault with Ubisoft to publish a physical board game based on the upcoming game. Combining the best of a card game and board game, this World War II “lite” wargame includes 240 action and unit cards, provides solo and 2 player scenarios and can be played in under an hour. This will be released in the Fall of 2009 with a MSRP of $59.99.

Battleforge Price Cut, Demo Released

EA and Phenomic ahev lowered the price today announced a new lower price tage on its real-time strategy game BattleForge. Now you can pick the fantasy themed trading card game inspired RTS at the reduced price of $29.99. The new pricing is effective immediately in North America. Additionally, gamers can check out the BattleForge demo on BattleForge.com. There’s no indication why EA decided to cut the price of the game, but it’s never a bad thing when we can get something for less.

In the demo, players start with a random faction deck and have limited access to maps. Players will have access to sparring ground player versus player (PvP) battles as well as player versus environment (PvE) maps. Players will then be able to upgrade to the full product in-game.
