Bangai-O Spirits Released

D3Publisher of America has released Bangai-O Spirits for the Nintendo DS in North America, for those of you that care. Developed by the fine folks at Treasure, Bangai-O Spirits is a re-imagination of the original cult classic 90s videogame Bangai-O.

The game features the same kind of content as the original game with some new features like the inclusion of a level editor, 160+ pre-loaded levels (which you can also use as templates to create your own levels with the editor) and a new technology specifically for the DS systems called Sound Load technology.

Sound Loading allows players to transfer level data among DS handheld systems via the use of sound and the DS microphone. This means all of those crazy new levels the player has created, or any serious boss battle victory – can all be shared among DS players and even posted online to share with anyone across the world.

The game also offers co-op,multiplayer for 1-4 players via local wireless connection along with big boss battles that promise to test your resolve and the familiar shooter action that made the original game popular.

The big release this week is Madden NFL 09 on multiple platforms and for PSP fans is the Madden NFL 09 bundle which includes a metallic blue PSP, the game, NFL: In Just One Play video, 1GB Memory Stick Duo and “Beats” game download voucher.
