Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and the Damnedis now available for download on Xbox Live Marketplace. The Lost and Damned is the first piece of downloadable content for Rockstar’s popular sandbox game, offering a new main character named Johnny Klebitz, and a plot that intersects with the original storyline from Grand Theft Auto IV. That means you’ll get new missions that offer an entirely different perspective, new ways to explore Liberty City, new multiplayer modes, new weapons and vehicles; and some new original in-game music.
This DLC pack will cost you 1600 MS points and weighs in at a hefty 1.8 GB - as anyone on Twitter would tell you right now if you were stupid enough to be awake.
Microsoft also released some free Avatar costumes on Xbox Live Marketplace to commemorate the occasion. For the guy avatars there’s the Rocker Jacket, Pixie Boots, Grunge Pants, Metal Combats, Top Hat, Skull Ring, Leather Biker Gloves, Left Feather Earring, and Right Feather Earring. For the girl avatars there’s the Punk Tee, Black 60’s Boots, Leopard Print Leggings, Biker Jacket, Biker Gloves, Skull Wrist Band, Left Feather Earring, and Right Feather Earring. It’s all free so even if you don’t give a damn about the DLC, at least you can play dress-up.

Ten Things to Do During Xbox Live Maintenance
The GamerScore Blog offers ten things to do when it conducts server maintenance on Sept. 29 on Xbox Live to implement the new Xbox Experience (a full 24 hours that should sufficiently freak XBL players right the f**k out). I love top ten lists so you can check it out after the jump (way down yonder) but I want to offer you an alternate Top Ten list with some other choices.
You can either sit around all day moping or have some fun doing other things, like the following:
1. Get on PlayStation Network and play some Resistance multiplayer.
2. Get on the PlayStation Store and get Mega Man 9 early.
3. Go to the Wii Shop Channel and buy every Zelda game you can find and play them.

Xbox Live Downtime Next Week
Get ready for a freak out. On Sept. 29 Microsoft will take Xbox Live offline for an entire day to implement the changes needed for the new Xbox experience. That experience will include a whole new interface, avatars and new ways to play games and watch movies with friends.
From 12:01 AM PST until 11:59 PM PST on Sept. 29 Xbox Live will be offline and inaccessible to Xbox Live users. Will everyone bug out? Some will for sure (no one likes to have their Halo 3, Call of Duty 4 and Gears of War multiplayer time interrupted.

New Xbox 360 Experience: Avatars
Microsoft’s Major Nelson has released a new video that reveals the many customization options you will be able to utilize to create an avatar in the “new Xbox experience.” If you have not had the chance to see how avatars look on XBL, then check out the video below for a crash course:
The games we're pulling together in this feature won't appear on any of those best-of lists and get confused looks when you mention them in conversation. Just because time has forgotten these titles, though, doesn't mean you should forget them, too.
