Orbital Worlds preps Armoured Shift for iPhone

Independent game development studio Orbital Worlds announced Armoured Shift, an upcoming iPhone and iPod Touch shooter set to hit the App Store in September. This arcade style shooter puts players in command of the Scythe MKIII, a powerful and agile spacecraft which they must deftly control to defeat waves of asteroids, enemy ships, and deadly bosses. Unlike the majority of shooters available on the App Store, Armoured Shift takes advantage of the iPhone’s accelerometer to handle all the action, as opposed to an on-screen joystick style control scheme. Other features include six open world maps, graphics running at 60 FPS, multiple enemies, bosses, power-ups. arcade and story game modes, an online leader board, in-game Achievements and 8 original music tracks.

Armoured Shift is set to launch sometime later this month.
