Guild Wars 2 Trailer

NCsoft and ArenaNet debuted the very first Guild Wars 2 teaser trailer at GamesCom this week in Cologne, Germany. Show attendees got a mere glimpse of what ArenaNet has in store for players, though a large portion of it was cinematic and not the in-game action we’d have preferred to see. What the teaser trailer does reveal are some of the world-shaking events that set up the story of Guild Wars 2 and the game’s pretty graphics and environments.
Building on the success and lessons learned from Guild Wars, ArenaNet is creating an MMO that gives Guild Wars fans the gameplay mechanics they want, while retaining the no-subscription-fee business model that has made the original so popular.

You can check out that brand new trailer in high definition at www.guildwars2.com.

Guild Wars Bonus Mission Pack

If you are getting bored with NCsoft’s and ArenaNet’s online-focused RPG Guild Wars (including all of its previously released expansion packs), then you may want to grab the freshly released Guild Wars Bonus Mission Pack. Available at the official Guild Wars site, the new content pack lets players take on the role of a key figure in the Battle of Jahai and go up against Palawa Joko and his undead army for some unique rewards.

The pack takes place in Cantha’s turbulent past, giving players firsthand insight into the Tengu Wars and details on what happened to Gwen after the Charr invaded her home.

The pack consists of four bonus missions that can be replayed as many times as players fancy, though they are designed specifically for solo play. Players interested in learning even more about the pack should check out the official FAQ first for important details.

The Bonus Mission Pack is available directly from the Guild Wars site for $9.99.

The games we're pulling together in this feature won't appear on any of those best-of lists and get confused looks when you mention them in conversation. Just because time has forgotten these titles, though, doesn't mean you should forget them, too.
