Independent game developer KarjaSoft has released a teaser trailer from its upcoming adventure-simulation game Wildhollow. Wildhollow promises a mix of dialogue driven adventure and pet care simulation, set in a colorful fantasy world. In the game players are tasked with searching for clues to their missing parents’ whereabouts while simultaneously restoring the Wildhollow ranch to its former glory. The game is scheduled for release in November 2009 and will be available for Windows and Mac platforms. You can check out the trailer below:
Independent studio Pixelpickle Games has released first gameplay video for its game Lylian today on the game’s official website. The video shows off a a tiny bit of this upcoming action side-scroller game about a girl trapped in a mental institution who may or may not have special powers. I saw this on Friday but I forgot to mention it in the news. I am referring to the interesting interactive story The Deepening. A sort-of homage to The Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage” video, The Deepening is a playable web comedy short video that is reminiscent of those old Play Your Own Adventure books. Basically at certain points in the video it gives you some 8-bit inspired choices on which direction to take the story into. this of course can lead to some funny but unhappy endings for the story and its crazy characters.
